Betrayed family left 17-year-old dog at shelter because she’s ‘too old’

Sad stories about dogs being betrayed and left back to shelters after many years of spending time with their families are just so unbelievable.
This happened to a 17-years-old dog who was abandoned by his family for the reason ‘too old’ to keep at home.
His name is Maddison, and he was left at the Los Angeles County Animal Services in Lancaster on the 7th of February, this way becoming one of the homeless dogs locked at a shelter.
What we have learned so far for Maddison by his advocate, he has lived with the family for 5 years. He has been an indoor dog, and according to them, it did not show interest in children.
During that time, began learning obedience skills. On the other hand, just a few dogs make it to 17 years of age and those who do should be spoiled by their owners and not left alone.
But luckily, Madison did not spend a long time in the shelter. A new loving owner came to adopt Madison, and both of them were so happy. They looked so happy in the picture captured after adoption.

Let’s all be aware of not betraying our pets for reasons like this!
