Cops in Hammond are looking for a trio of hoodlums who violently assaulted a pregnant woman and pistol-whipped her boyfriend at a gas station in Crown Point, and took off with their Pit Bull puppy. The attackers were driving a white Pontiac Grand Prix, and carried a semi-automatic handgun which they used to pistol-whip the male victim.

The woman, who is 17 weeks pregnant, claimed that one of the attackers pinned her down and kicked her in the belly. Update: Cops have updated that the couple later recognized one of their attackers on Facebook. The couple recalled that 18-year-old Davion N. McCloud had argued with them previously, and threatened to “rob and hit the woman’s stomach”. This enabled the cop to track the other 2 suspects, 21-year-old Chelsea A. Flowers and 20-year-old Devontai M. Mitchell.
↚ The trio has been arrested now, but they have decided to plead “not-guilty”. Davion is currently held on a $150,000 surety or $15,000 cash bond. Devontai and Chelsea’s bonds are set at $100,000 surety or $10,000 cash each. It hasn’t been revealed whether the puppy was retrieved or not. What do you think their punishment should be?
